We are proud to announce that we have another Kindergarten student of the week.
Brock Windham was last week's student of the week.
Mr. Looser says, "Brock is a pleasure to have in my class.  He is a always trying to help make our classroom a better place. I look forward to seeing him grow in the future."

Student of the Week

Trey Stoddard was our Student of the week last week.
We are so proud of Trey and the young man that he is.  Trey is a great friend, a fantastic example, and is always doing what the teachers ask him to do.  You won't see Trey without a big smile on his face.

Congrats to TREY!

Open House

Our Kindergarten Open House will be this coming Tuesday, March 1st!
It begins at 6:30.  Please tell all your friends about it!  We are hoping for a GREAT turn out.
The faculty and staff have been working really hard to make this a great success!

UPDATES

Woah, it has been 2 months since I've updated and I apologize!

We have been up to so much since we came back from Christmas.
We had our blizzard day which was a BLAST, especially since we had a real blizzard to go along with it!  We have traveled to different countries with our Traveling Penguin.  Our Fiesta was fabulous and YUMMY!

This week we have been studying the Presidents and our country.

Thank the good Lord for this beautiful weather. What a blessing!  The kids (and teachers) have thoroughly enjoyed it.  Phil the groundhog did not lie to us.  Now, if it could only be this way for the REST of the school year.

We have had so much fun with this group.  They are hard workers, entertainers, and sweet kids!  We will miss them dearly when they go to 1st grade but we are not ready to give them up just yet.  We have so many fun memories to make before then.

We would like to encourage you parents to keep working at home with your kids on their academics.  It's important that they stay on top of their school work because 1st grade will be quite the change and we want them to be ready and confident.

Thank you for bringing your children to Mars Hill Bible School! :)

Polar Express Field Trip

We had a blast on our Field Trip.  I think we could all agree that this was one of the best days in Kindergarten.  Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped us out at Burger King.
Thank you to our students who's behavior was GREAT on our field trip.  What a fun day!

Camaya has her ticket and is ready to go!

All ready for the Polar Express!

Congrats to Haleigh Stone on being the Student of the week!
She is such a great friend, student, and helper.  She is very patient and kind.  If you see Haleigh at school she always has a big smile on her face.

Thank you Haleigh for being in my class!

Teachers go see Dr. Jean

I don't know if you have heard of Dr. Jean but she is very well known for her cd's and books.  She was an amazing Kindergarten teacher who now travels around the United States and shares her ideas.  The kids love singing her songs in the morning around the carpet.

Kristi, Thad, and I got up early and headed to Birmingham to listen to her speak.  We got a FULL day of her ideas, songs, and activities.  We were so excited to get back and use these ideas. If you need a good cd for your kids to sing to in the car look her up.  She has catchy songs with lyrics that help the children learn.  You can also go to youtube and look up Dr. Jean and some of her videos are up.  The kids love singing to those too.  We are very thankful to have he opportunity to have this experience!
