It's a BOY!

CONGRATS to Mr. Looser and his wife, Betsy.  They just found out they will be having a boy in February.  His name will be William Bentley.
Mr. Looser's class took a vote on what they thought he would have and "a boy" got the most votes.  Guess the kids knew more than Mrs. Adcock and Mrs. Rutledge because they guessed a girl.
Please continue to pray for mommy and baby during this happy time.

"Friends of the Day"

We have been so proud of our "Friend of the Day."  Each week it's exciting for us to learn a little bit more about each student.  Next week will be the last week for our "Friend of the Day."

Student of the Week: Ashton Willis

Congrats, Ashton!
We are so excited to announce that Ashton Willis was the "Student of the Week" of the whole Elementary school.  This is such a big honor.  Ashton is a great helper, friend, and listener.  She is always smiling and brings a great attitude to school each and every day.  We are so proud of Ashton and the example she sets.

Way to go!

Bear Parade

All week we have been studying about different types of bears.  We also went on a "Bear Hunt" today.  We graphed with gummy bears.  That was some yummy work.

We all brought our favorite teddy bear.  We had a parade down the pre-school hall and on the playground. We enjoyed showing off our bears.  When we got back to the classroom our bears were all awarded with a special title.  "Furriest Bear", "Biggest Bear",  "Fastest Bear", etc.

What a "Beary" special day it was!

Officer Cain

Hannah's Dad, Officer Cain came to visit us and tell us about his job as a policeman.
We read the book Officer Buckle this morning and talked about safety tips.  Officer Cain said, "The most important tip I can give kids is to wear your helmet on your bike."

He let us see his car.  We got to turn on the lights and siren.

Thank you Officer Cain for coming and letting us see your car.  We think your job is very cool!  A lot of the boys even said they wanted to be a policeman when they grow up.
